Winged Beauty~ Birds Bees Butterflies Flying Insects ~ New!

I'll get us started with this image taken in the garden.

All of the above are so beautiful. Most people don't know this who live outside of Mexico, but the monarch butterfly holds special significance here as they return here to the state of Michoacan to overwinter before the mass migration back north in the spring. When they return around September by the hordes, it is usually around September and nearing the time of Dia de los Muertos. Therefore, for Mexicans the monarch butterflies are their loved ones and ancestors paying them a visit from the other side. Just thought I would share that as there are so many lovely monarchs represented above. Thank you for that. Here is my contribution of the feathered variety:
